Default JR X9303 Gyro Gain Rx Channel for HG-5000

Mike - Do you know what Rx channel I need to plug the HG-5000 gyro gain lead into on a JR X9303?

Thanks!

It should be channel #5.

That is what I read in the setup manual for the 5000, but then reading the 9303 manual it says AUX2, which would be channel 7. I currently have it plugged into Ch5 since I am using a 6 channel Rx and don't even have a 7th channel. It appears to work ok, I think. When I flip the gear switch (Ch5) I can change the gyro from TL to Rate. I can then adjust the gain value by changing the subtrim for Ch5. Should that work ok you think? I can't think of any other way to do it unless I use a 7 channel Rx.

That sounds like it should be fine.
