magic smoke escaped
OK. I feel stupid, but I temporarily reversed polarity while plugging in the transmitter battery on my Eclipse 7 Pro (barely made contact). this brief time was enough to release some of the magic smoke from the transmitter. It turns on, the screen is alive and well, I can change parameters (end points, etc.) but it doesn't talk to the receivers. In the short term this has ruined my weekend plans to fly. In the long term, am I better off sending this in for repair or getting a new transmitter?
