HFP-30 Servo Programmer

Do you have a manual for the HFP-30 servo programmer? I've search the internet including the Hitec website, but can find it.

The HFP-30 manual is not available yet in .pdf form, we are working to make some revisions to it to be more accurate. In the meantime, what are you having difficulties with? I can try and help you out.

I've had a couple of servo programmers with mixed results for setting up dual aileron servos. I always end up going back to Equalizer II. The first programmer I tried required the use of a spreadsheet to extrapolate the reading to program the correct number into the servo. The second one also needed a computer, although better than the first one, was still not as easy to use. What I'm looking for is a programmer that I can adjust the servo setting in realtime to give the minimum current draw, then hit the program button. Center and End Points. The Equalizer II's work fine, but I'd like to eliminate the extra point of failure. I'm using Hitec 7955. I could setup dual aileron servos using my DX-9 transmitter, however I use a Cortex gyro which only has five inputs.

The HFP-30 does have a sync function where you can setup the inboard servo's center and end points, then you setup the outboard servos center and end points to match the inboard servo (outboard servos linkages disconnected). You will still need to use an in-line current meter to see servo current draw, the HFP-30 does not have the ability to see current draw.

Thanks. The sync function sounds good, should be a great benefit. I'm already set up to measure the current draw. I will wait for the new manual before purchasing one. If you already used one, does it have an analog knob for setting the center/end points and does it have a fine enough adjustment?

Yes, it does have a knob and it has worked fine for what I've done (matched 7955's on a 35% wing).
