Hitec Servo dimensions
 
I'm building a servo programing stand to preprogram my servos center and end points using a protractor before installing them. Once installed and I can then measure the throws and tweak the linkage's, centers and end points as needed. The spec sheets that I have viewed do not show all the servos dimensions.

Is it possible to get this information?

Sorry, we don't have all of that information available. Keep in mind case sizes and mounting rails for various servo models can vary in size and position ever so slightly so a rig like this may not prove to perform as expected. Plus, with servo slot tolerances on airplanes (unless you're scratch building, in which case this doesn't apply..) are wide enough that when installing servos you often wind up with servos that are off slightly.

The best way I've found to accomplish a perfect center point on the servo is to install it into the aircraft and then place the horn onto the output shaft as close to center as you can. Then, adjust the center point with your programmer such that both the center of your output shaft and the center of the hole you intend to use for your linkage are both equal distances apart from the hinge. Then of course make your end point adjustments in the manner deemed necessary for proper geometry and surface deflections. This really is the only best way to set your servos up as you are setting them up in the direct application they will be used in.

Thanks Xpress. I get your point however I like to center them up in a jig first so that I know my neutral points start out the same. This seems to work best for me. I would make what ever jig that I needed to fit the servos that I'm using. Sure wish this info was available.

An update. Turns out, we were already working on something like this. All of our servos will now have a basic line drawing posted with them. We have most of the drawings up now, we are working on the rest.
