ECLIPSE HELI PROGRAMMING?

I was trying to set up a heli on my eclipse tis afternoon and thought things were goiong ok, in fact I was nearly done. I switched over to an acro model for a moment and when I tried to switch back to the heli program, all I get is IDLE ON across the LCD and beeping, this is all I get if I try and set up a new HELI program as well, anyone know what I did wrong?

RE: ECLIPSE HELI PROGRAMMING?

Essentially the Eclipse is trying to warn you that you may be about ready to start your Heli in a high throttle condition. In a standard flight condition, the heli does not idle. It will try to turn the blade at the normal flying RPM. So obviously you need to be in the idle flight condition which is with the "Flight Mode" and "Flight Cond." switch forward. This is also called the "Nor" or normal flight condition. You would only use this flight condition for starting the engine and basic hovering. I set up "ST1" or flight condition 1 to be my primary flight mode. This will typically keep the throttle at half or better depending on how much collective is applied. This is what you need to keep the rotor RPM up when you are doing anything but basic hovering.

"ST3" or the right "Flight Cond." switch back is generally setup for auto-gyro mode. This is just a little throttle to keep things going, but not enough to fly. I don't use "ST2" but it could be set up to yield more or less throttle then "ST1".

Hope this helps.
