Proper battery & extension leads question
am using 4 - 625MG's for control surfaces 2/ailerons,1 elevator,1 rudder in a .45 size 3D plane.
1.) was planning on using a 5 cell Nimh pack. do I or should I need a voltage regulator? what mah would you recommend? is a 2700mah pack enough? 2.) need to run extensions from the elevator and rudder servos should I be using heavy gauge extensions? or are the standard ok. any advantage/disadvantage of one over the other? alomg the same lines should I be using a heavy gauge switch? |
RE: Proper battery & extension leads question
the 5 cell pack will not need a regultor and 2500 is plenty for a 45 size plane. Hevy duty leads and switches are always a good idea but with the smaller control surfaces and short wire runs of a .45 you should be OK.

RE: Proper battery & extension leads question
No regulator is required unless you run Lithium batteries. 2700Mah is perfect!
It is always a good idea to use HD extentions on anything over 6", especially with high torque servos. NOTE: Please do not post in this forum unless you are a Hitec rep or have a question as per the guidlines posted here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2603615/tm.htm Mike. |
