Eclipse 7 Glitch or Ground?
Hello I have an Eclipse 7 tx with spectra module and the glitch occurs if I either shake the tx, touch the chrome or any switches. I touch it and the servos jerk with each tap. All channels work fine, it's just when I touch the tx stick while flying or let go with one hand and then touch the stick to continue, the aircraft will jerk (glitch) for a millisecond or 2 but still fly normally. In other words I have to be very still and hold on to the sticks at all times and be careful not to touch anything else ont the tx. for smooth flight. I have a friend that has the same tx and I tried his with my aircraft to see if it did the same and his was smooth...I could tap all over the tx while in flight and no glitch. We decided to change my antenna and spectra module to see if maybe mine was the fault, but my tx did the same thing with his parts interchanged. Do I need to send this in for repair or is it worth repairing? I have a glow heli and don't want the trouble if it is going to do this in flight? About how mush is the averag repair bill for such a problem. Does anyone have a list of prices for repairs on Hitec radios? Lastly does anyone have an old one for sale at a reasonable price? About $50.00 shipped?
Thanks |

If for no other reason than peace of mind, suggest your TX be returned for service, cost of which whilst not covered on the Flat Fee chart would not be unduly high. RE: Eclipse 7 Glitch or Ground?
You will need to send it in to have it checked out. If there is to be any charge for the repair we would let you know ahead of time what they would be.
