Problem Programming HS-5645 Servos

I'm trying to use two HS-5645MG servos via Y-cable on two elevator halves. One servo needs to be reversed and the neutral point offset a little. I have a HFP-10 Programmer (green sticker coded 06.11) and NIB HS-5645MG servos (blue sticker with white leaf in center coded 08.04). I followed the instructions carefully (RESET first then CCW, then set Neutral and End Points via EPAneuFS program). Neutral point = -10, L-end = -210, R-end = +190. The result is very little servo arm travel, only about +/- 12 degrees, although the receiver signal range to the servo is from 1152 to 1841 microseconds. If I reset the servo it works OK. If I change the direction to CCW and leave the neutral point and end points alone it works OK (but the neutral point is off beyond the range of linkage adjustment). I tried various L and R end points and leaving them unchanged but nothing works. Any idea what's up?

RE: Problem Programming HS-5645 Servos

You can always get a Y-harness with a built in filter that will automaticly reverse the servo you need reverseing, I had to do that with a 5945 servo. If the servo in question is used you may want to have Hitec checked the servo over for you and they can always program the servo wwith the High rate travel you need and reverse it for you. I recently had to send 4 of my 5945 servo's in for a check up when I bought them used. I told them what degree I wanted the end points set at and they gladely did it for me.
Then I just had to reset the low rates in my TX when installed in the plane.

There's a really good tutorial video on programming here: http://www.downonthedeck.com/videos_instruction.htm

Check it out and see it that helps.

Mike.
