Which crystals??

Well today my cap 232 crashed on its first flight after two minutes or so in the air, the radio just locked up. I noticed that it had done the same thing the night before, it would just lose signal out of nowhere and glitch. Re connecting the lipo solves the problem for a bit.

My setup is Hitec flash 5 (dual conversion), hitec hfs-06mt receiver (single conversion) and cirrus crystals (single conversion).

I am thinking the crystals are the problem, but I am not sure. The last time I used the tx was with another plane of which was not retrievable

Thanks everyone!

Both Flash 5 and Flash 5X a Hitec FM Transmitter Crystal - there are no dual conversion Transmitters.

Crystal - What type do you need ?
TX On First - Tx Off Last is even more important today with the current crop of Auto Gain, PLL and Auto Shift receivers, such as you are using, which if turned on first may not lock onto your TX, and could lose settings if turned off last.
