RE: Savage owners/ nitro convert to electric
U wouldn't have breaks u would either have to convert it to a flux tranny or us mechanical breaks (nitro breaks).
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/HPI-Idler...5-p-17442.html that's the part u need to change it to a flux tranny.

RE: Savage owners/ nitro convert to electric
i thought about just leaving the mech brakes, and using the disable function on the MM brakes.

Honestly if you are getting the 2200 MM combo I'd just bu the ESC and get a 1850-2000kv motor or so.
I had the 2200 in mine and the thing ended up on its roof no matter what I tried. Mildly tapping the throttle would make it end up on the roof, going from 70%-80% throttle would make it end up on the roof, stopping made it end up on the roof(and usually fly a good 10 feet from where brakes were engaged upside down...)
that was running it with 1 speed, I don't want to even imagine it 2 speed when the 2nd gear would kick in.
Just my opinion though
