Default Hpi Savage SS 4.6 swapped with losi 454

So I'm switching my k4.6 out of my pretty stock savage SS 4.6 with a losi 454. How do you think the truck will take the 454? The only other thing I'm replacing is the plastic spur with the heavy duty spur and hardened cb. What do you guys think?

it should come with a HD CB and spur, the only change i'd do is swap pipes, and maybe get some aluminum shoe's i've heard good things about the losi sport HT pipe, or an dynamite 086 for that motor, i think, seeing as it's an lrp .28 at heart

Well it's a savage SS 4.6 not the savage x SS. And I know it has the hpi tuned pipe not the plastic

ohh my bad, in my exp, which isn't all that great, i had better luck with the plastic pipe on the x 4.6 than with the metal polished they have on the SS, but thats just me, and then as far as upgrade CB and spur, that wouldn't hurt at all, tho i like to run a plastic spur, cuz it's a cheap failsafe

Oh ok, I haven't had any problems with the tuned pipe on the 4.6. I ordered the hd spur and cb cuz I already was stripping the plastic with the 4.6 and was getting kinda tired of buy plastic spurs over and over again..

the losi ht pipe n 086 r 2 diff pipes.ht means high torque and the 086 is a top speed pipe.ive used both and they both r great.depends on wot u want.top speed? go the 086.if u want supercross style short run ups for jumps n jumps then go ht pipe(007)

Ok, and yeah my last two plastic gears was a mesh issue on my part plus a little heat

the vented CB will help with heat, but mesh errors will just hurt more when you kill it...
