Default curious why not

Would there be any reason why rubber engine mounts wouldn't work with these engines or do they absolutely need to be solid mounted?

Does the vibration bother your hands that much while driving it?

It needs solid mounts to keep the gears lined up properly and permanently.

the question kind of answers itself if you reallllllllllly think about it!!!!! but in theory if ya put the tranny on rubber mounts too they could move together,.....problem solved!!!!! LMAO

also the engine plate helps dissipate heat as a heatsink, which if there was rubber it would insulate it instead probably causing your engine to run hotter.

it's been a long time since i've messed with these rc trucks. You're right though, i couldve answered the question myself. I was thinking more of the lines of an actual car engine and didn't think about how the gear mess is lined up. silly me.
