Default Narrowing molded foams

Hey gents, a few months ago I bought 2 sets of Panther Green molded foams. These are very firm, and are monstrous in size compared to my tires. I'd like to narrow them, whats the best way? They can't be trimmed on the sides because that would shorten the sidewall. I did one foam by cutting it down the center, and trimming two 1/4" sections from the inside. What would be the best glue to use to bond them together? (Or did I just waste my time and $$$ doing it this way?)

This is what I have:

Glueing foam back together might be tricky, CA glue might work, or shoe goo. I would stay away from hot glue since it isn't very flexible. You might not even need to glue them if they are a snug enough fit. Hard to say without actually seeing anything.

I don't see why you can just trim the edges down. Just trim to fit anything you need. If they are way too large it shouldn't be a problem to trim up whatever you want.
