Default Wheely King - Is it still possible to extend the wheelbase

I have about a $200 budget and want to get a HPI Wheely King. I decided on the WK after hours of research online because: 1) it has a more authentic monster truck look (my preschooler loves monster trucks right now), 2) it's 4wd, and 3) it's waterproof.

I was hung up on it because it is only 1/12 scale, but I read posts on forums from years ago that you could stretch the chassis of the WK, extend the wheelbase, and even install Clodbuster tires. This sealed the deal for me because I like to tinker and it seemed to a great option. I thought it improved the look even more and would help prevent excessive wheelies (I don't care for wheelies).

From what I see, the wheelbase extension kits (a.k.a. crawler conversion kits) are all discontinued.

Just wondering if anyone knows of an all inclusive kit to accomplish this. If not, can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do this. I saw some youtube videos of people who had done this years ago, but not a how to build video.

Thanks,
sr
