i want to know if u can use the ofna rear tank from newera
as a header tank because u would have so much more running time instead
of using the 2oz tanks
i just want to know if the newera tank will fix the leaning problem

Can someone tell me what causes the lean out problem. Is it a fuel pressure problem?I am new to the RC world . I built a Savage SS and love doing it. I started it as stated in the instructions. It started to lean out after a half tank. I let it run 3/4 tank out and checked the tempeture. To my supprise it was 285 degrees. I shut it down.

i think it has to do with the design of the tank...and i don't know if the ofna rear tank can be used as a header, but i would think it would.

When using the heli rear header tank, I heard it has to be filled/primed seperately. Is this true?

This is true, but very easily accomplished. You can pull the pressure line off the exhaust and blow into it. Then just don't run the tank dry all day and you won't need to re prime it. At the end of the day I just run it as dry as possible and dump the extra.

The reason the Heli style tanks are used more is they are clunker tanks and the pick up will work in any position because it is weighted, also it is a lot cheaper too. Only $2.00 at the LHS for a 2 oz. clunker tank.

One more thing:

Has anybody found a way of arranging a header tank so it can be used with a ROTOSTART?
