Default What spur gear/clutch bell to upgrade to?

I've got the 21BB with HB tuned pipe, Motorsaver filter.

Whats a good spur gear and/or clutch bell size combo to get some more speed out of the truck?

It currently has extended TVPs and HB UFO wheels, which I think are too big for the .21.

I'm planning on upgrading in about 2 months to the .25BB or a Ofna .21 motor. Something that would work for the 21bb and later for the 25 would be great.

Thanks

Default RE: What spur gear/clutch bell to upgrade to?

If you want it to be faster top end wise then just change the clutch bell/spur combo so that the ratio is lower.... meaning a 52T spur and a 18T CB would give you a ratio of 2.89.. that is more top speed than say changing to a 49T spur and a 15T CB.. which would be 3.27 ratio. It is just the like the gears in a cars rear end.. the lower the number the more top speed.. the higher the number the more low end torque.

Hope that helps some.
