Savage Steering modification...
There was mention made of this in another thread, but I couldn't squeeze in to ask about it for all the testosterone being flung about...
I have a JR 4721 (120 oz./in.- .19sec) to use for a steering servo. But I believe they were talking about a modification to the steering mechanism itself.
Can anybody clue me in?

i think you r talking about this kit.the gpm steering kit is surpported by 2ballbearings so works more smoothly and fits tight.as my own experience, after a period of bashing the stock steering set is bound to be loose which leads to unprecise control in steering.
maybe i spelled incorrectly~~inprecise or unprecise? who cares

You don't mean the MP servo saver mod do you?
This mod replaces one of the steering uprights for a buggy style servo saver, it is fully ballraced and, you can fit a ally arm on your steering servo.
IMO the best steering mod available!!!!!
