Erm a 3.3 tuned correctly will match any of the savages, my savage 3.5cc gets utterly OWNED by my 3.3 TRX engine, the trucks are almost same weight, revo has high gearing.
Your comments that TRX engines are not fast is inaccurate to say the least.
Revo's, faster than most MT's with a 3.3, almost ALL MT's have bigger engines that the TRX range, your a joker mate. Weight your 3.5 savy and weigh a revo 3.3, mmmmmmmmmmm............power to weight is no argument on this one.Gearing and traction come into it.And the TRX engine is better than you give credit for.
l will be blunt here, a 3.5cc should be faster than a 3.3cc.
TRX motors are fast, if YOU tune it right.
But then hey my 1.1 kyosho, [ 14 years old and still runs ! yea its has pistns and sleves ] [ but never a bearing replaced ] does wheelies, thats all in the gearing, now taking that into account ,and the fact revo's are geared high, how can you say the TRX is not a powerfull fast motor ?
Maybe you cant tune ?

Is this thread 3 years old ? LOL !

*big sigh*

Are you seriously pursuing this?

Reread my post. I had a Revo 2.5R. not a 3.3. And the 3.3 still has nothing on a big block, power wise, in the Revo. I never thought highly of the 2.5 once I ran one.

you're also comparing an engine that's only been out for two years to an engine that was outdated when the Savage debuted in 2001. It's a well known fact that the Savage 21 (3.5) isn't fast.

Holy crap, I dont even want to utter the curse words that are coming out of my mouth right now on these forums... Every day it's the same argument, bringing up an old thread is the same thing as creating a new one, still making useless posts for nothing. All the info is on the net, there is no possible question about these trucks that hasnt been anwsered at least 100 times on RCU! And you fools are still getting worked up about who beats who, goddamn just take some painkillers already if you need to argue about what beats what in every thread.

Thats how I feel^^

He asked a question. You need to lighten up.

If he would've made a new post, you would've cried about how he didn't search. He used the search, and still you cry.

Me? Are you kidding me? You even friggin go over to the TRX forum to bash away because you have nothing better to do. Even if he did make a question, you need to learn how to anwser it like a normal person, every time there has to be some kind of conflict or something. JeepSavage summed up the whole explanation, no need to get on peoples throats because of the trucks you hate. I'm the one keeping it plain and simple, using the damn internet brings up millions of pg's of useful info and avoids people from picking fights about every other truck.

I didn't bash, I said if Traxxas was going to improve the truck, they should IMPROVE the truck. Not slather graphics that (to me) look exactly like the first 2.5 T-maxx on the same body that's been used since 1999 and address some issues that the truck DOES have, instead of changing some plastic colors.

Either way...the Revo and Savage are both good trucks, and munster truck's question was the one I was answering. You had nothing constructive to say. The guy did a search, posted in what he felt was the appropriate thread, and you made an off-topic post.

This is the best answer here. The mods should make Jeepsavage's reply a sticky.[8D]

Dirtbiking if the revo is so weak then why do they use it for racing when race trucks take just as much abuse as bashers? why do you think truggies and buggies are built tough? dun da duuuuuu

OMG,this has just been to fun to watch, honest simple answer to which is the better/best truck?quite simply put......the one you own!!!!!!!!i own 4 of the major brands LOSI LST2,ASSOCIATED MGT,HPI SAVAGE and 2 REVO 3.3's,and ALLLLLLL of them are wonderfull trucks, the key is maintain which ever you buy and nip problems in the bud before they get out of hand.i dont care what brand you buy,if you run several gallons through it and never maintain it you end up with a pile of crap no matter what label you put on it!!!!!!

Is the Revo considered a Monster truck....or is it more like a truggy?
I like the Revo because of the unique suspension.....but I also like the Savage or T-Maxx because it seems more monster like.

However, I don't know too many trucks that can take a jump like this without breaking in half.
