Cutting Bow Ties/tires??
Lemme ask, I just read a article on cutting tires to acheive a lower profile and tighter tire for racing. (Latest issue of RC DRIVER) Now here it is, how well would these tires actually hold up and would it hold up to bashing? The tire they used was like the bow ties. They cut like two or four rows out(across the tire) then glued the tire back together. In the pics it did lower the tire and widened the contact patch but does it really work and hold up, and have any of you done this?

Sounds logical for that little edge in racing, but dont think the average basher would notice any differance, Id stick with the tires the way they came instead of trying to moddify them, they might shave a fraction off of lap times but like I said youll never notice.
