Default Quick Help

I'm setting all the needles back to factory because all the sudden she started bogging down and almost stalling whenever i accelerated.
I was pretty sure that it wasn't too lean because I could still get tiny droplets of fuel on my finger when I put it under the exhaust and there was still a nice cloud of exhaust.

Can it bog down when accelerating if the engine isnt quite warmed up yet.

Turn the HSN counter clockwise until you see the grove. Then turn clockwise until it is flush.

Start with factory settings >> turn the HSN 1/8 clockwise >> adjust your throttle trim to open the carb a little bit more >> start >> allow to warm up >> reset trim >> tune.

Follow these tuning tips.

ahh ic i thought i had already over turned it, the rest i know, but i think i have an air leak somewhere

once every tank shell bog down for a second and almost stall, or shell do a back flip, and now she started bogging down every time i tried to accelerate, so i must have an air leak.

this nitro stuff is a challenge

yea but she wont bog down when accelerating when its rich will she?

I thought when it was rich it just performed bad and when you leaned it i got better, but leaning it too much makes it stall when accelerating, but it wasn't lean because there was still smoke and little droplets of fuel coming out of the exhaust. So i figure an air leak somewhere.

Glow plug torqued down? I experienced the same thing once, until I realized that I'd forgot to torque down the GP.

To answer your last question, a cold engine can bog under
accelleration.

Have you checked to be sure fuel tank lid is fully closed?
Are fuel lines good?
Are any gaskets or couplings on exhaust leaking?

The lid should have been closed, but right now I have a tank that has been hot glued. The glue is pretty damn thick, but it could be it. I just hope it's not a leak in the engine, I did notice that a couple mm of the top of the engine head was worn down, from what I don't know. I just hope the impact or scrapping didn't open up an air leak inside the engine. I'm just gonna re-tune it in some nice weather (a week or so it should be steady 15-20 celsius) and if it still does it theres lots of stuff I could do to try and fix her. Thanks for all the help.

Check to see if engine block is cracked where it
bolts to the engine mount. A good upside down
landing can crack engine block at that location.

I will.

Funny thing is I haven't bagged it that much (only a gallon through it), and I never noticed the shaved engine head until I took it home. From the last time I started it (should of noticed then) it never rolled because I was driving it home on the streets.

If you have raw fuel dripping out of the pipe, you are too rich...

i ran into the same problem when i was breakin in into my 10th gallon now, i have the X stock 4.1 engine, midway between the gear shift it would like sputter like choking then it would just accelerate into a flat rpm. Mine too was spitting out fuel, so i change the glow plug (OS 8) yet it still continues every now and then even if im leaning my HSN..... [:@]

when it sputters when changing gears then that usually means that it's to lean on the HSN
