I think I have an idea!!!
I think I have the easy fix for the half tank lean condition. I will have more details tomorrow. It came to me in a daydream.... so I am going to pick up the parts tomorrow after work and test it out. I believe it will work and it should only cost about $5 to do.[sm=idea.gif]

RE: I think I have an idea!!!
Ok, most of you saw the post about running without the pressure line from the pipe to the tank...and then i thought if no line is bad and one is ok, then two must be better, right? So what I did was go to the hobby shop and get a fitting, like what is on the exhaust pipe and a fuel filter. I put the fitting in the pipe, so now there are 2 of them. Then I took the fuel filter and took it apart. I have a tank with a primer, and I drilled a 5/16 inch hole in my tank, near the primer. I took the part of the fuel filter that has the male threads (threads on the outside) and screwed it into the hole, mind you, i did use the o-ring under it to help seal any possible leak. I did check it for leaks by pluging all the other 2 holes and blowing into the fuel filter body half. There were none. Then I ran a piece of fuel line to both fittings. IMPORTANT: If you have a fuel tank with a primer, it will not prime the engine anymore with both of these lines. I had to pinch one of the pressure lines and blow into the other gently to prime the motor. The truck ran a little funny at first and I just had to tune it a little richer. It might just be me, but it ran just as good when it was tuned back up, and it seemed to run LONGER. I shut it off and refueled and I couldnt start it again... My glow plug igniter was dead[]. So I only have one tank trough, but it looks like it was a good idea so far. Let me try a few more tanks before I fully give this my stamp of approval...[sm=75_75.gif]

I dont see how this will help. You arent increasing the pressure into the tank in anyway which is needed to fix the half tank lean with the stock tank.
Just buy a different tank.

I think it is neat, post a pic. I used a dual tank mod to fix the half tank lean, works very well plus extra run time, does take extra time to fuel up but it is worth it.

Well my thoughts were that if you can blow through one straw, it is harder to push all the air through it fast. If you put 2 in your mouth, it is a lot easier to push all that air through.

I use this to maintain fuel pressure:

What's this dual-tank method I heard of? Links or pictures?
