What Would You Like To See?
I'm doing some R & D at the moment for my new line of R/C Savage Parts. I was wondering what you guys would like to see in terms of cool new features, new technology, new design, etc. on the following parts:
Engine Plates
Roll Bars
TVPs
Centre Skid Plates
Shock Towers
Wheelie Bars
Arm Brace Sets
Mid Tank Conversion Kit
Flat Pan Chassis Kit (To Be Confirmed)
Also, which one of these is most important to you:
Looks
Durability / Strength
Weight
Price
Thanks in advance.

I want to see somebody put a jet engine in a Savage.
I'm not kidding...

You know, two years ago Slapmafro, Beaverstick, Redneck Bashers, etc... were making all these great, lunatic Savage videos.. Now the Savage-world just seems kind of dead....
Anyway, what better way to revive it than to strap a jet-engine into one and launch it off a skyscraper??
(Sorry to highjack your thread Spike - I'll stop... But seriously, somebody should go make a post in the jet plane forum and get one of those rich jet dudes to try it... - maybe I will....)

Yeah, you're right Patrick. Someone needs to revive the Savage world.
The Jet Engine Savage seems like a very fun and interesting idea. I may make it one of PXP's Projects later on when we're less busy. [8D]

It might well be, but as long as it makes me and other people happy and that it sort of revives the Savage world then I would consider it worth it. BTW Graupner have some extremely powerful and fancy jet engines for about 1,000 Euros.
So, back on topic...

RE: What Would You Like To See?
I'd like to see a midtank conversion kit where I don't have to do any fabricating...just purely bolt on. Also, the only things that really concern me are durability and price. I could care less about how it looks or how much it weighs, as long as its not something like 1000g or more for a screw or something.
Oh, and about the jet engine idea...I doubt it could be possible without having a truck not look like a Savage anymore. Even model RC jet engines run Jet-A fuel that fullscale jets run, and they get pretty HOT! And engines aren't exactly cheap...a few thousand for a good one, and more then the price of a small car for a decent one. One guy, at the flying field I go to, flys jets and he's sponsored by BVM and several other companies (basically, he does R/C cars, helis, planes, and jets for a living), and he has a BVM Bandit that flys at 200MPH and costs...$25,000. [X(] That's for the plane, engine, radio...and I think that's it. Field equipment and fire extinguiser not included. Yeah, its regulation that anytime you start up a jet, you must have a fire extinguiser nearby, in case things get out of hand, but thankfully they rarely do.

All of my parts will be available primarily in Carbon Fibre, so I can offer a very light and quite strong version for racing, and a very beefy and durable version for bashing that weighs the same as its stock aluminium counterpart.

RE: What Would You Like To See?
Cool! I'm working overtime trying to get the 3D designs and everything done and contacting the CF Supplier. On top of that the rest of the Team are on holiday, leaving me to work on the parts AND get all the 6 other big tasks done. [:@]

RE: What Would You Like To See?
By the way, I will replace the parts free of charge should they break or snap. However, you will have to send the old one back in (so we can examine it and see what the weak point was so we can improve it) and you will have to pay for shipping.
I will also give a full money-back guarantee if is not what you wanted or you don't like it. The item must be returned however, and must be unused.

RE: What Would You Like To See?
I want an underwater breathing apparatus for my Savage, so I can do it like James Bond and drive it off a boat dock so it turns into a submarine.
Seriously, what I want, is cheap tires so I don't have to spend $70 every time I want wheels and rubber.
