Lol 2wd is fun It used to always happen to my t-maxx. Yea in front wheel drive you barely get any traction, but its probobly better with the savage. Also for racing you want 4wd. Much better handling and pick up.

I drove bake home from my spot around the corner on 3 wheel drive. This jump I was hitting had a little trench next to it just big enuf for a tire to go in. Murphies law put the right front right in there to on a landing and busted it off. I drove it home on the street like that anyway. When I got there the plastic upright was half an upright.

My friend lives down the street and I'm afraid to drive my truck to and from, since when I had my T-maxx I'd always end up drivin into this field on the way and I swear it's cursed cause every time I drove through there, I broke something. Once I had a run away, then a Tranny output shaft snap (metal) when I was just cruisin. A dogbone poped out, fuel tank broke, and other stuff like the carb poping out a little and stuff. So I have yet to drive through there with my savage. After the output shaft I knew it was cursed or something. it would take just few seconds after I drove onto the feild for it to break.

Yeah, they handle pretty horribly 2wd. If you want to try it, I would put some 5,000 or 10,000 oil in the rear diff. Anything heavier will make it fishtail like nuts in anything with low traction.

B5s are 21 lbs and are 2wd, so weight isn't really a factor. If you really wanted a 2wd savage for a savage but some heavy wt dif oil in (10-40k), take all the shock preloaders out (lower), and maybe buy some paddles. [>:]

savage works awesome in the sand. if you have a air comrpesser and can blow out the truck afterwords.
it throws some nasty roost. and goes just incredable
does anyone know if they make ribbed front tires for a savage size wheel?

I had my Savage as a 2WD'er for a while a couple of years back. It was fun in the dirt, but also a handful at the same time. On pavement, it wasn't noticeable until you went to turn-it turned much sharper. All that big block power and torque only going through the rear wheels makes it hard to keep the truck straight in the dirt though. I guess if you tuned the suspension and rear diff to this situation, it may be doable on a track. Try it out and see what happens. If anything, you will become a better driver because you WILL have to actually drive the truck now.

2wd wouldn't be that bad...but 2 wheel brakes on a Savage would HAVE to suck.
