The other thing is the european version of the MGT 8.0, same as the MGT just a different colour and radio...

Walking into the Savage forum and trying to get a recommendation for another truck is a whole lot like walking into a weight lifting gym and smacking one of them with the 2x4. I can almost gurantee you will not like the response of the masses.

I do think the MGT is interesting and would like to try one. The desire must not be really strong as my fifth Savage should be here tomorrow and I gave my son one for his birthday.

If I were to buy anything besides the Savage XL right now, it would be the Losi LST2.

It would be an awfully hard sell though... BB

DO SOME RESEARCH! revo vs savage, mgt vs savage, crap like that, I can almost guarantee that there has been 20+ threads on "whats better" topics...no...more like 40. I am sorry for being a jerk but people do this ALL THE TIME! And do you really people are gona say to get a MTA4 S50(what the hell is that?) over a savage?
Lighten up..this is a help forum..you dont have to offer any help...but please keep your non helping comments out.
Thats what gets old..grown men crying like little girls over what? because someone typed in a question?
Pffffft!
It doesnt cost you anything to be here....If your not interested in the thread....um...dont click it.

I had the MGT 8.0
It is a good truck, ran 2 gallons tru-it, then the some of the gears in the trans broke.
I sold it.

I have had a savage for the past 5 years, great truck, easy to work on and the transmission is simple
so if you break a gear it is a easy fix, unlike the 8.0, which is very complicated, with reverse and every thing.

I would go with the savage, and upgrade the radio.

Every truck will break eventually, the Savage just takes longer to bust up than most.

Don't know much about the other truck, but it can't beat the Savage with available parts and mods.
