New petrol car from HPI ?
Hi
At a visit at my LHS, he told me he just had had a visit from the HPI-distributor. He had told him, that he had learned that HPI is about to release a new petrol car.
As the Baja 5b, the new car will come in an RTR and kit version. The kit version will have another pipe that is not so (damn) loud as the current SS pipe. Actually our discussion of how loud the pipe is on the SS kit made him mention this.
The new version should be inspired by cars used in the Paris-Dakar rally.
My LHS guy couldn't remember if the petrol car was the news to be announced in august 2008 or december 2008. As obviously another lineup were to be introduced in the other month.
Have anybode else heard about this?
Regards
Jens

Makes sense. The market is gobbling up the 5Bs as fast as HPI can import them, so in my opinion, HPI is long overdue to have another gas burner in their lineup.

I know that ppl have mounted gas engines on Savages, but these were simply custom trucks. I would defo spend $900+ on a production gas Savage!

A gasser Savage with 3speed redesigned tranny and other drivertrain parts to take 300 in-oz torque would be great!

oh yes sir-e......if a 1/5 gas savage comes out!!!!!i am all over it. forget saving up, i will credit card that baby.and i hate using credit cards. one thing though, i will only get to run it a few times cause when my wife finds out that the "toy truck" hidden in the closet under clothes and stuff is not the same one as before....she is gonna kill me. so, you might find it on e-bay for cheap after im dead and gone.

I was reading a magazine a couple years ago that had them saying something about a Baja5T. The article was on the Baja5b and they said something about how the Baja 5t was gonna be a bigger buggy or something. But B and T make because B=Buggy T=truggy/truck which how the label race rc cars. So the Trophy truck would make sense.
