Default Weekend Work!

Thought I'd show yous guy's what fun I have planned for this weekend! This will be my take on XL TVP's. I've already de-anodized the purple peices, lubed up the diff's. I'll assemble it all this weekend. All I'm in need of is radio gear, servos, and a Picco P3 engine. So a bit more to purchase.

Get building man! I need to tear mine down and clean it up and deanodize the purple peices then order a k4.6HO head to match the rest of the truck...

Are you going to go with the extended axles or off set wheels? The next thing we know, [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExDPpRdj_Vg]you will be[/link] slapping on a set of Terra Pins and doing some high speed runs. [8D] I really like that combination, you can run a regular buggy header with a little modification of the flange.

For your Picco, you will want that header to be short and the 086 pipe is the ticket.

That Hummer body looks sweet! Keep us posted.... Bud

Hey BUDBUD, I'm going to use the standard offset wheels, which is a 1/2" offset, I may be going with the same wheel and tire setup a my blue rig. Also going with the Savage header because I'll use the space behind the engine for a small fuel tank. This thing will be a screemer, going to run 46t/22t gearing. And a modded supertib P3.

With gears that tall, you will have to follow it in a real car to keep it in radio range....

With my Terra Pins and 18/47 gears, it disappears in a hurry! Sounds cool too, we will be waiting for video! [8D]

Yup I'll take some quality videos. I'm also running 18/47 gearing on my blue P3 rig, and your right, it gets gone in a hurry! Hey BB did you ever get one of your P3 modded yet?

Ok this thing is Long, very long. Longer than my IRC EX'D LCG TVP. Much fun put it together, I thought I had the turnbuckles, but I only have the ends not the rods. So I have to wait for a new set to come in. Here's some pix. While I was waiting I de-anodized the XL engine plate above.

He only has 2, I have the same for both trucks, but one of them is having glitch problems for the T-maxx model. Very wierd, its the second time its been used[&:].

Sports, get that Saito 125 running man, I'm REALLY looking forward to it. If I decide to start off my Camaro when I fix all my other toys, I'll be looking at your vids for performance. As stated, great photos, and I cant get enough of that Hummer lid, it looks AWESOME[sm=thumbup.gif].

Not to go off subject here but SportsFans I noticed you have two alum rings on the servo saver. Just curious why you have two instead of one?

Oh I have many of those d__m things. I grabbed for one and got 2 and just thru them both in the de-anodize solution. Only needed 1 tho.

It is insane fast on the top end, I wish I could get a three speed to hang with it. Anyway, those tall Terra Pins on a 18/47 gear ratio really gave it some speed. It was fast on Hpi Bonz or Proline Bowties, but those tall tires really kicked it up there. It was a fun afternoon at the old airport, lots of room, those passes were over an 1/8th mile long. I could not tell which end of the truck I was looking at, just turning around on movement. My big fear was that it would run away, but it never was out of radio range. Post some video of yours when you get her flying! Bud
