RE: What do you think???????good deal???
I think you scored a Truckzilla chassis, depending upon which one it is, you may be able to run a 16/46 as a maximum gear. They were sold two ways, one was a .46 engine that was a real turd, the other was an extended chassis for the Savage. They were built by Hot Bodies. I had one and swapped it over to XL plates. My plates took a detour through Canada on their way to Florida.
Top to bottom, S-25; Truckzilla; XL...
I did a little frame work with my Dremel tool to get the mounts to move out a little more.
Until the XL came out, it was my favorite chassis to drive. Another reason I think it is a Truckzilla is those unique tires and wheels, they were part of the package.
Any of the Savage parts will interchange, except the rear drive shaft, from transmission to rear axle, it is an odd duck. Bud

Editing to add that those are Hot Bodies threaded shocks. I like them but the shafts bend easy. They are much heavier than a stock Savage shock, the shaft that is. Bud

It will cost more for the diffs to fix up my X then i got in the zilla.. You see the little purple mount by the wheel that has nothing hooked to it? got any ideas on what it was it is? And thanks alot!!! I can get a better pic if ya need it

The SH 28 will do fine in that chassis. How did you like the thickness of those plates? They came with a four gear differential upgrade. What parts are you needing for your X?

RE: What do you think???????good deal???
both front and rear diffs and pinions now lol yeah the plates are deffinatly thicker. I think i will like it.. Is the gearing any different in the zilla?? i have a stock 47t spur (new) 15t bell(new) and the zilla as well as my x has 3 speed and it seemed to be a bit to low for me?? but that is what i got to make her run right now. Maybe see if i can dig up the Hexes to put the big wheels on??

Yeah i am just worried cause i just put the 15t bell and another 47t spur on my X yesterday and i was running on flat ground (no jumps and busted the diffs (in short grass) dont wanna do it to the zilla if the gear and power combined is the cause...

RE: What do you think???????good deal???
yup 15 minutes!! Might be scratched cause by the time i realized they were broke it was to late? And when i did realize it i just kept on goin. But most of the scratches you see might be because they have been in my actual tool box (like wrenches and sockets in the garage since winter). but hey thanks for keepin me on the up and up. Maybe next time i will give step by step, minute by minute details.
