Looks awesome. Those badlands are just sick looking! Good job!

RE: My e savage build

body cannot be raised unfortunately, it sits on top of the shock towers and is held in by bold. Has worked amazingly so fat, and most of my bodies dont require to sit high. The front shocks have also been swapped out to black stiffer springs, so it dosent sag as much. Can t wait to run this beast!

And yes, those badlands are amazing! they cut the grass for me hehe...

RE: My e savage build

You guys know of a wing that'll mount to the shock towers?

Hey ESAVAENOOBIE what shocks are you using?? They look sweet. Was this a Nitro you converted?

RE: My e savage build

they are HPI threaded aluminum ones, ano'd red, with Black stiff springs off a nitro savage. And nope its an electric "e zilla" from a long time ago, with upgraded Blitz diffs and such. The shocks in the first pictures are ofna lx-1's.

some pictures from yesturdays run

Thinking about running 3s in this, or should i run 4s?

ThunderbirdJunkie 02-28-2011 11:15 PM

RE: My e savage build

That's a cool truck. looks like a lot of fun!

Definitely run 4s. Less current, so less electrical issues ;)

Is it just ThunderbirdJunkie, or do your springs look almost fully compressed in the pics where it's sitting? Do you get full range of motion or do the coils stack?

esavagenoobie 03-01-2011 08:44 PM

RE: My e savage build

Nope, no sagage on my springs, just my 2.0mp phone adding blurness to them. No binding or any other limitations on them. i will be rebuilding them soon, they have to much rebound...

FYI the Savage Flux battery boxes bolt to the E-Savage with an extended chassis with little effort.

I only run 2-3s in the e-savage max hence the single box.

This is mine... FLM extended chassis, Kershaw Designs e-savage shocks (I think they are from CEN MT), Novak HV-Maxx with 6.5 motor and a few more goods. It has been a good truck. Not the best, but its fine under 2-3S power. I rarely break anything on it.

Nice looking truck man!, The rims are revolvers, what are the tires? How you liking those shocks? id add a second tray for astectic looks.. (im picky like that). Like the body too. Im running an inboard lipo tray so i dont need any trays..

I also am interested in your tyre combo. What are the tyres and where'd you get them from?
Thanks

The tires are Losi Zombie Maxx for the TMaxx. Unfortunately, it looks like they were discontinued.

Do you know if these tyres www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p will fit these rims www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?
Thanks

RE: My e savage build

yea they should their 3.2's.. id opt for a 17+mm wheel hex..

MMGT 03-13-2011 05:45 PM

RE: My e savage build

Yea but I would be putting it in my Mini MGT which takes 14mm stock.

esavagenoobie 03-13-2011 05:58 PM

RE: My e savage build

Id highly suggest switching to 17mm adapters.... i run the hpi ones on my truck..
they essentially look like [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNWS2&P=ML]this[/link] but are aluminum and from hpi...

MMGT 03-13-2011 06:33 PM

RE: My e savage build

I've seen the hpi adaptors but I dont see why I should change the hex size and pay $20 more if I can buy a 14mm rim, is it that big of a difference?

ThunderbirdJunkie 03-13-2011 06:38 PM

RE: My e savage build

If you like rounding out the hexes in wheels then stick with the 14mm :)

esavagenoobie 03-13-2011 06:47 PM

RE: My e savage build

Personnaly, id rather not destroy 60 dollar rims... but if you havent had a problem.... Brushless is a lot harder on the hexes then nitro..

Dale Gribble 03-13-2011 07:01 PM

RE: My e savage build

On an e-savage (not to be confused with Flux), stripping 14mm hexes is the least of our worries if we have enough power to strip hexes. Anything above 3s on a decent brushless setup will wreck these trucks.
