i wish i did... this was about an hour and half away from my house, i was visiting the GF at her place...

funny thing happened to my rear right dog bone, noticed after i dropped a wheel nut... i was a able to roughly center it and it ran fine, but i'll have to keep an eye on it...

I would call HPI, thats not a sing of quality control if you ask me.

RE: My day...

my brother did call hpi, they said "they are machine pressed in" or something... I don't know exactly what my brother said, but he explained the problem, and hpi offered no assistance.
I think he just has to learn to talk to customer service....he also said the rep he talked to was unfriendly, so maybe it was just bad luck. I'm thinking of calling back, as him, and seeing what they say for myself.

Yup I think anyone who has driven there flux properly has this problem. In a nut shell the stock chassis sucks.
The options are
Brace this section of chassis with a piece of steel and fix it on with nuts and bolts
Or
Buy a 5mm chasis from TCS Crawlers

Put some red lock tight on the pin and tap it back in. The lock tight will help hold it in after it dries.

Green loctite would be better for this application.

i'll pick some up on my next trip to the hardware... tho it has been holding very well so far... but don't wanna risk it...

Green loctite would be better for this application.
Which green? I think they use to make 2 different kinds. One is a wicking formula for fasteners already assembled. The other is a sleeve retainer. The sleeve retainer will definitely hold. I just figured red since he might already have some. Red locktight is stronger than the green wicking formula but the green sleeve retainer is the strongest.

The sleeve retainer was what ThunderbirdJunkie was referring to
