RE: proline rims
I don't know about those tires. If I were you I would go with aluminum rims. I got a set for $75 off ebay they are way better. Look at the Proline Mulcher tires. Alot of guys racing here are using those. I have a set of Traxxas Sporttraxx and also right now I'm running a set of HPI Dirt Bonz. THey are pretty decent. About $42 for the HPI tires on ebay. Aluminum rims wont strip and are WAY more balanced than the plastic rims. All about the same weight also. Hope this helps.

RE: proline rims
aluminum is too expensive for me. the cheapest ones i find are like $56 bucks! i need some strong plastic rims that wont strip out but still look cool. i found some Q-6 rims on ebay also about the same price as the prolines with some off brand tires.

A better tire than the Big Joe is the Dirt Hawg.

RE: proline rims
I would strongly recommend the 40 series Outback Welds from Proline, instead of the V6's. You need to purchase the adapter set from sav central; I have NEVER stripped a wheel with this set up.

RE: proline rims
ya o looked at those last nite and thought, those are REAL truck rims!!! now its between those and the Q'6s. so how does this help in not stripping with an aluminum disc? i thought the outback welds were a perfect fit for the savage?

RE: proline rims
so if i were to buy a set of 4 off ebay they say for the TXT-1 ONLY, does this mean if i got the adapters then it would fit my savage? which tires?

RE: proline rims
i have the 40 series mambo rim and big joes and they do have good on/off road traction and i have had 2 gallon with them so far and the wheel hasnt show any signs of stripping

The 5 holes on the adapters interface with the nubs on the outbacks. The back of the adapter looks just like the hex nut. The adapters replace the existing hex nuts. It's been bulletproof for me so far. |
RE: proline rims
i kinda like these except for the price

RE: proline rims
i like the bead locks. i saw some black ones before and they looked AWESOME! no glueing. it was a solid wheel had no spokes in it it looked sweet!
|
RE: proline rims
i am likely going to get bead locks, pretty cheap too
|
RE: proline rims
change tires out real easy!! or trade rims between the tries.
