temp change with different fuels

hi there i was just wondering if the percentage of ntrto fuels have a difference in your engine temps i.e ddoes it highter or lower the temp the highter percentage fuel used as i run a sh and it rund hot 300 plus and ive sealed it and and richened it before you ask ..i run 25 percent and was wondering if 30 would lower it p.s im in the uk

RE: temp change with different fuels

Nitro % is a factor in engine temps. Lower should run cooler. The glow plug can play an important role, too. Many people run a plug in winter that is hotter than the plug they run in summer.

Cooler plugs have fewer loops in the coil and have thicker coils. Hotter plugs have a tighter coil and a thinner wire.

If you have a hot plug and high nitro, you could raise engine temps...but so could running lean, and not much can help that other than a carb adjustment.

I found that my engine ran cooler with 30% than 25% both were made by the same company. I don't know why you are running so hot but i would recomend richening your engine some more, do you really want to killl your engine for a little bit more performance?

same here, I switched to odonnell 30% and its running a good bit cooler than the 20% was.
