Bad weather modding!

It's cold and cloudy here in Chicago, good time to get creative. I've been wanting to do the throttle mod forever plus I've wanted a wing on my Savage since I first got it.

The throttle mod isin't perfect, needs a few tweaks. I looked all around the house for some kind of plate to mount the wing stay to before mounting it to the back of the shock tower than I thought, "Why not use the rear shock tower from an 1/8th scale buggy!". It worked perfect and it's very solid.

I couldn't stand to see the buggy tower sticking out so I mounted the rear shocks to it, not sure how that will effect the handling of the Savage.

I can't stand the color of the wing though, I'm headed out tomorrow to buy some of that Krylon paint for plastic.

Can't wait for my FLM Ext LOC TVP's to arrive!

Awersome looking truck, the purple highlights (fuel tubing, aluminium etc) look great!

Nice job with protecting the cooling head also...

How well does that body hold up to rollovers and accidents? I have been debating one of those bodies but all of the sharp angles make it seem like it would crack easily.

Nice looking truck by the way.

Bronco's rock. I've taken many-a-tumble and mine's lookin great. Very stout body!

I haven't really bashed the Bronco body since painting. It'll probably hold up like most, next I'd like to get a Jeep Rubicon body.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, it was awsum carrying the Savage around by the wing yesterday :)

Nice job! Definately different, and unique. There is nothing more sweet that a virgin just painted shelf queen body! (then all is lost after the first high speed cartwheel, rollover, frontflip. (AAAHHHHHHHHHHH, $#@$%% !!)

Which 1/8th scale buggy shock tower did you use?

It's from an HB Lightning.

I got the Krylon paint. They didn't have purple so I got black.
