fuel "leak"
I finshed breaking in my Savage in yesterday, and I felt like running it today. Last night I replaced the steering servo with a better one, and I tightened the slipper clutch.
When I tried starting it today, fuel was squirting out of either the carb or the glow plug hole. I already checked the fuel line for cuts. I havent tightened the glow plug yet, I will in a few minutes. The carb turned by somehow when I first started breaking in my engine a week and a half ago, but that never effected it. |
RE: fuel "leak"
tighten the GP. take out the carb and seal it then tighten it back down and try again

RE: fuel "leak"
I tightened everything but the carb so far, my hands were too numb to do anything else, so Ill do the rest tomorrow.

[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] Before starting it again make sure the carb is not loose, also you said you didnt tighten the glowplug. If your loosening a bit just to make it easier to start its fine, but once the engine is started tighten it up right away.

Check that the head is screwed down firm. I had a problem like yours, and found that 2 screws had come very slightly lose that hold the head on.
