Problem
This weekend seemed to be a good time to finally go out and bash. Saturday was great but after my 4 tank I slammed into a log breaking my right front lower A-Arm. No big deal since Hawk900 sold me all the extra ones.. So today I go out with the son and we found a nice jump. Jumping about 5-6 feet high and only about 8 feet long.. Good times..lol
Well after landing the last one I turned the truck and it lost all the power... So I walked over and found only the front tires moved when giving gas. I took it home and checked it out.. The rear tires turn free not turning the other one... I would like to get an idea from you before I tear into it... Thanks guys.. |
RE: Problem
Sounds like you shredded something in the rear diff.

RE: Problem
The first place I would look is to see if you spit out the screw at the back of the transmission or the front of the differential.
http://image2-6.rcuniverse.com/e1/ga.../lg-144054.jpg That photo shows the screw and the drive cups the set in. If you lose one of those, the drive on that differential is gone and they free spin when you turn them by hand. |

Also your pic didnt work but I will look around to see if I'm missing any screws |
RE: Problem
im assuming you checked for any missing dogbones??
i reckon its a striped pinion or crown gear.....the savages are known to occasionally strip those. Thanks, Daniel |

Screw photo again.. I broke some of the bevel gears and axle gears before. Generally, it is cheaper to go to Ebay and just replace it with a complete aluminum cup four gear. BB |
