HI Fellas, This is plasma 327(WOO HOO I got a flux for $500).....
Well you guy's were right, It was a scam and I got burnt for 5 bill's..
I hope pay-pay does recoup my money(we will see)
This guy Norval Gaffey aka peatorian is a career criminal..
He is setting in jail as I speak. He has commited identy theft..
So you fellas were right.. I have learned a hard lesson unfortunately..
We will see if pay-pal will reimburse me..

I hope so too! If you read the small print though, they pretty much only guarantee their proven Ebay sellers. The PayPal Protection sucks a lot of people into a false sense of security. Did you lodge a PayPal complaint? You can sign me up as a five bills burnt guy too, I learned the hard way. [:@] Glen

Yes, He used pay-pal to generate a shipping through UPS.
It showed billing info was received but day after day it never changed..
It is still the same.. Here is the tracking NO. from UPS

the fed ex is pretty far away or else i would use them because they are always cheaper. The post office was already closed that is why i went to UPS. This "I told you so" is not directed to the original poster, but instead to ones who were chastising me for warning the original poster, calling me "jealous" and a "hater".

Instead of being jealous :eek:, I was actually trying to help a fellow hobbyist avoid some troubles......

But anyways, that really sucks Plasma. Unfortunately, I wouldn't expect to get that cash back since there are likely many others who are in line ahead of you who have been scammed by that scumbag. Maybe you can contact your bank if you withdrew the funds directly from a checking/savings account. You may have lost $500, but the lesson you've learned is priceless. I'm willing to bet that you won't let yourself get scammed ever again. I'm not sure of the details of the transaction, but if this guy had access to your personal info, it might be a good idea to notify your major creditors and bank so that they can put your accounts on fraud alert for awhile.

Best of luck, definitely keep us updated on how things are playing out

No he has no personal info and I paid with my Visa card through Pay-pal...
He has no personal info..
Yes, lesson learned... I have fraud protection on My Visa, so at some point I will get my money back
but who nows when.. Paypal is supposed to render on the 20th(this friday) I believe I was the first to
file a complaint through palpal..
This guy had this same truck listed on SavageCentral .com as well...

I was one of the first ones to say "Come on boys!,,,,he just got a good deal,,,thats all!"....So I was wrong...I'm usually a skeptic...thats how my Father raised me....keeps my spidey senses upand usually keeps me from getting the shaft in shifty situations......but sometimes you just can't tell hey.?


Sorry to hear that some loser stiffed you for hard earned money....he got his...but is unfortunately is now taxing the system even more now in Jail-than he was sitting at home on welfare trying to figure out a way to scam people out of money....Garbage


Don't lose faith...you may get the money back...especially that it is proven that his is a scam artist...they may be able to track that money down and get it to you.

I used the phone number on the invoice and it led me to the girl friend and so on..
Eventually I spoke with a Mr. Tim Zacholl which told me of the identity theft this Norval Gaffery took of his father identity.
He gave me the name of Detective Nehiek that I spoke with that is handleing the case for MR. Zacholl..
Mr. Norval Gaffey is now as we speak a ward of the Onadoga Conty Jail...
If this guy saammed any body else that any of you know of, have them PM me and I can give phone numbers to that person to assist in prosecution..
I filed a police report locally that is going to go to detective Nehiek in Syracuse New York...
Even if I have to make a trip up there he is going to serve more time ontop of whatever he is facing now...

When things don't go right, it's good to keep a cool head and just work through it. I wish you the best and I hope you can get your flux soon. I would recommend contacting the RCU Marketplace moderator via PM (his member name is JWN) and you might want to ask him if he has any other pointers or guidance to help you. He will also be able to prevent any additional scams from this user or any of the user's aliases.

hey if you paid with your visa car contact the company and tell them of your situation.. i have had to do that in the past and they took care of everything.
