That looks like fun, I like the looks of the Baja Bug, somehow I doubt your front wheels do much pulling though. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gifI for one, will be looking forward to the video! Glen

Looks like alot fun but

A: Why didn' t you put paddle wheels in the front, it really weird.

B.I would NOTwanna try to clean up all that sand

Running paddles on the front puts unwanted stress on the drivetrain and motor. Clean up was very easy with a garden hose.

That thing would flat out haul ***** with some paddles on the front! Looks like a blast... I would think than putting all the drive to the rear would cause more damage that using all four.

Most Baja Buggies are 2wd from what I have seen. I prefer to run paddles on just the rear. I guess you could run paddles all the way around.

Here is another video.

Needs paddles all the way around..  Just gonna over-strain the rear diff doing that..  Plus with 4x paddles it'd be faster..

Have you ever ran paddles all the way around? If so what type of rc was it and what type ground did you run it on? In my opinion running paddles all the way around causes to much strain on the drivetrain and motor.

No I haven't(no sand here..), but I've seen lots of vids(2Dmaxx in the LST forum made an awsome vid a couple years back, and his LST2 was hauling...  Can go search it if you like...), and your Flux would definitely be a lot faster.  And I mean the whole setup of a 4WD is based on equal size wheels all round..  Those tiny wheels in the front are throwing off the power distribution bigtime..  It must be directing a lot of extra stress to your rear diff and diff bearings and cups,etc..  Surprised your rear diff survived it..  Equal size tires would distribute power.... well, more equally...

That's absolutely awesome.  I'd keep the wheel setup the way it is.  If you haven't broken anything, chances are you won't.  The skinny single rib tires in the front help you turn in the sand better than paddles.  If you put paddles on it, it'll be faster in a straight line, assuming it's all wheel drive, but it won't turn near as well.</p>

Wow, I so gotta do that. If I do, don't worry I won't copy the yellow bug cover.

I like yellow on the beach though so maybe a yellow painted Savage body. Like I said before, I'm still waiting to get the right pair of Lipo battery packs for my Flux before I drive it again.

What battery packs did you use?

RE: Baja Flux enjoying the Beach

I am using two 2s 5000mah 7.4v lipos in hard cases made by Losi. They were the only ones the LHS had that would fit the Flux battery boxes, also they were a very reasonable price of $110.
