My girlfriend bought me the ken block version, I like it alot its very responsive to turning and seems to handle fairly well. I would like to look at getting it into on road racing, I used to race a team associated b5m on clay. So I'm am somewhat familiar with racing, however I'm not very sure on how i should set it up. I want to go censored brushless i think, atleast that's what i have in my crawlers and I used to have a hobbywing esc and 17.5 in my b5m.
What esc should i run while staying cost effective(less than 100$)?
what motor would i run to just stay competitive in begginer races staying mostly stock.? 17.5? 13.5? 10.5?
which tires would work the best?
The races they do here, that i know of at leas,t they race in a parking lot.
sorry if I'm in the wrong spot.

Ask the guys who race in your area for setup and advice, like which shock oil to use and gearing. the rs4 sport was setup for drifting so it’ll take some tuning to get it to grip.
Hobbywing are good beginner stuff not to expensive, just ask what motor they run then you can order one.
Exotek has race upgrades for the rs4 sport 3 (check the rs4 sport 3 page here)
yeahracing makes some mostly for drift.
and gpm has a few.

i like the team orion motor with the build in esc the d drive
and a antenna less receiver like
Sanwa RX 482 4 Channel 2.4GHz Receiver
it save all thoze wirez and room and you can get a brass weight to balance chassis
so it much simpler drive for the first part of the drive
