I've been having AFPD for about 3 years. I haven't played about a year and tried to play yesterday. It says my USB is not connected. I've upgraded my OS to 10.7.5 last year. I'm using DX7 with JR adapter. I've notice the serial number is gone on the main page. It just says #####. Any help will be appreciated.

It could be that your usb interface has gone faulty but let's do some software check first. Which AFPD version do you have? You could see the AFPD version number in your startup screen.

Thanks for the tmlog file. Are you a user in mac os x with limited rights or do you have admin privileges?

Are you connecting the usb interface cable through a usb hub or directly to a native usb port in the computer? Do you have another computer where you can test the usb interface cable?

Please do the following tests and see if the usb interface is recognized in AFPD:

- Remove all other USB devices, especially PDA docking stations or scanners and try again.

- Use another USB port on your computer.

Then please plug the usb interface into your windows laptop. Go to control panel->hardware and devices->devices and printers. Do you see "Ikarus interface"?

1. Removed all usb devices on Mac. Nothing happened. Still does not work.
2. Plugged on Windows computer and went into device and printer. Nothing showed up.

It's confirmed that you have a faulty usb interface. Unfortunately your interface is outside of the two-year warranty. Please contact Frank of Ikarus USA (contact details below) for an exchange. The exchange pricing for outside warranty interface is $29.95 plus S&H 8.95. You will get the new type usb interface that looks like a thumb drive. You could also check with Frank on the AFPD to AF5 upgrade, which I would recommend.
