9303 2.4 problems
I have the 9303 2.4 and when connected it won't recognize the Tx. I searched for similar problems and found the cable issue but am confused what needs to be done as there appear to several ways to do it.

Wanted to clarify this is AFPD Platinum (all add-ons).

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
I just tried a stereo to mono adapter from radio shack and it still didn't work.

JP, I have attached a diagram of how you should connect your 9303 2.4. Your supplier has sent you the wrong adapter cable. Get them to send you the correct y-adapter cable for JR/Spektrum as shown in the diagram.

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
I bought it from towers. Do you know any other way to make it work or where to get the cable?

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
JP, I would suggest that you send the adapter cable you have (which is for older Futaba and Hitec) for an exchange to the correct y-adapter cable for JR/Spektrum and new Futaba (as shown in the diagram). Give them a call

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
Anything that can be done in the meantime? What exactly is the problem with it?\

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
JP, the adapter you have uses a round DIN connector while JR/Spektrum uses a 3.5mm mono. The radio shack stereo-mono adapter is not compatible due to the wrong internal connections.

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
What are to connections that need to be made? Is there a backup route if towers doesn't have anything?

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
TH and FXA has them in stock but as I said, call TH for an exchange

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
Ok thanks. Sorry for all the questions, I got the sim and flew it with a joystick and have been eager to fly with a real tx ever since.

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
No problems. I would recommend that you use a programmable Tx so that you get the most benefit out of AFPD. Just like flying in the field

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
I called towers and they gave me the sim support number but will have to wait till monday to call. I have a JR buddy box cord and was wondering what connections needed to be made between the two cords to make it work. I could use some small pieces of wire as jumpers and temporarily tape them there.

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
The JR Adapter wires the tip of the stereo plug to the tip of the mono plug, and the ring of the stereo plug to the sleeve of the mono plug. The net effect is for the tips and sleeves of the large and small mono plugs to be wired together (i.e., tip to tip and sleeve to sleeve).

RE: 9303 2.4 problems
I finally go through to the support today and was told it would have to be purchased separately.
