AFPD

I have a buddy wants to sell me his used AFPD. Seems to work fine, but I see a lot of post with interface issues. How good is product support? If you wanted a better/ newer sim, would you stick with aerofly's latest or choose another brand? Just food for thought as I make my decision.

TIA,
Cody

RE: AFPD

Cody, which version of AFPD is this i.e. is it the plain version with no addons or is it the platinum version? How old is it since he purchased it and does he still have the original sales receipt? Does it come with the original usb cable and any adapters for the radio you plan to use? Ikarus has a two year warranty for the usb interface cable. Whether you go for AFPD or the latest AF5 will also depend on your computer system and graphics card. AF5 will need a better system and more powerful card. Please check the requirements for AFPD and AF5 here http://www.aerofly.com/afpd/requirements.html http://www.aerofly.com/requirements_en.html

RE: AFPD

I had problems with my interface cable many years after I purchased it. Mike Marks (prev poster) helped me get it fixed without any charge. I am running AFPD 1.11.07.21.
