afpd control problems

Im having major control issues with afpd. Im encountering major control spikes on every axis as a result of even the smallest control input. I am guessing this is not an isolated problem, Anyone who has encontered this problem please drop me a line. Thx in advance, Pete.

I have been getting spikes on left aileron. I can prevent it by slowly entering a roll. I have checked and rechecked everything to no avail. Although I believe this prob. only appeared after using the hitec usb adpter??

I have had the same problem. It can be traced to a loose connection with the cable. With mine it was the JR adapter cable. Send the cable back to Ikarus to be repaired. You will probably have to have the diode for the trainer port replaced on your transmitter as well. I have two 8103 transmitters ....when I started having the problem I tried the other transmitter. Unfortunately the loose connection fried the trainer diodes in both of them.

RE: afpd control problems

I have had AFPD since last September with no problems recently, about 3 months ago I started getting glitches, from not bad to unflyable.

After a lot of swapping, ie cables, TX's, screens and computers, even electricity supplies I found it to be a switched mode power supply that was sat on the same ring main that my afpd PC was on.

Disconnecting the PSU solved the problem.
