AFPD interface not found etc
 

Thanks to Rajul i got my AFPD cable replaced. all was working fine now i get the above message. its not seen in windows either.


any clues guys?

im using add ons too. true scale ,add on 1 , and all patched up. like i say it was fine then i went to use it this morn and no luck. tried all usb ports on my pc etc.

Hi harvest, can you plug in your usb cable into any usb port, then go to Start....Control Panel....Games Controller and let me know what is displayed in the box? Try a different usb port too. Thanks

hi rajul . i have done as you requested and no controllers are seen in that particular window. nothing has been installed or changed since i last used AFPD. i have a 7 port usb hub thats powered and no luck there. no luck in the mobo usb ports too.


i did have a windows prob and the box said " windows has recovered from a serious error" maybe i have driver conflict?

Hi Harvest, there could be some usb conflict somewhere. Can you try removing the usb hub from your PC (and also any usb devices such as joystick), then plugging the interface cable into a built-in usb port?

To help isolate the problem, it will also be helpful if you could plug in the cable into a different computer and check if Game Controllers sees it.

hi. i have tried all that and tried it on another pc and a laptop. both with new installs and patched and the same message is there. i tried it with the 6exh and the 9zap trans.

Hi harvest, can you see "Ikarus interface" in the Game Controller box when you plugged in the usb interface cable in the computers you tried?

no its not there. in control panel , then game controllers and its not showing. did it again on the laptop and it said usb device not recognised but nothing on this pc.

twas fine but not now lol.

is there anyway to use afpd without having the game commander interface? mine is broken so i tried to use the one from reflex but no luck. any help is appreciated!!

as far as i am aware you must use the official Ikarus tools.
