True Scale loading problem
I purchased the addon True Scale awhile back and when I call up the disc to try to install it I do not see any files on the disc it is just blank. Could it be that my disc never copied with files or am I not loading this disc correctly?

RE: True Scale loading problem
Unlike Addon 1 and 2, which automatically launched the Setup program when I popped in the CD, TrueScale required me to open Windows Explorer or My Computer, display the list of files, and run the Setup program manually. I have helped a couple of friends to install AFPD, recently, so it is fresh in my mind.
I would just Right Click on Start, Left Click on Explore, find the TrueScale CD, Left Click on it, Right Click on Setup, and Left Click on Open. If you cannot see the contents of the CD, take it out of the CD/DVD player, check to see that it is clean, put it back in the tray and try again to read it. If it fails to read, try another data CD just to see if the Reader is OK. Try the TrueScale CD in another computer just to see if you can read the files. |
RE: True Scale loading problem
BuschBarber,
Thank you for the information but it as I followed you directions I have no files showing up. Other CD's I try seem to work fine. I am getting the feeling that this disc never got any data put on it. Thanks |
RE: True Scale loading problem
carefully wipe the CD off using a Lint free cloth....

RE: True Scale loading problem
You did not state that you had tried to read other Data CD's in your CD/DVD reader.
Have you been able to read other CD's in that drive? Have you been able to read the True Scale CD in a drive on another PC? Do you have more than one CD Reader? If so, have you tried the other CD Reader? Have you rebooted since you tried to read the True Scale CD? If not, please do it and try to read the True Scale CD again. |
