Patch 1.11.7.31 Problems
 
Hi, just installed AFPD 5 Platinum on my iMac, everything went great. Now I see the above patch is available. So I download it and try to install but for what ever reason I get a "crash Log" screen and it won't install. Is this patch really needed???

Is this the AFPD PC version or Mac version? Are you running parallels or bootcamp? How did you install the patch? What was your sequence of installation for the main disk, addons and patch?

Hi Mac version ... Installed from disk all went well. Tried to patch via a link from this site. But the link was to the AFPD site..
I do have Parallels installed on my Mac but I don't use it for this version...But I do have a PC version mounted on the Parallels side. Parallels is shut down during the running of AFPD, Come to think of it the PC side is just about never used anymore.

Steve, the 1.11.7.31 is the patch for mac version, while the 1.11.7.21 is the patch for win version. If you have installed the wrong patch, try reinstalling the correct patch. If it doesn't work, you would have to uninstall and reinstall AFPD.

Just a thought?? I used the adapter from my PC version on this Mac version. What I mean is I have a Futaba 12FG it has the square plug in back. I didn't find any adapters in the box that seemed to fit this transmitter so I just unplugged the one I have from donngel on the PC version and plugged it into the USB dongle cable on this Mac version. Perhaps that could be the problem??? However the program runs just fine with this adapter.

I don't know if I really need this patch unless it must be installed before future patches might be needed. The sim runs just fine now. But I'm one of those people that if something is supposed to work and it doesn't then I would like to try to figure it out.

Anyhow thank you so much for all your ideas and help past, present and future. You are one of the reasons I bought this sim. You always try to help every single request you get. Ikrus should be proud that they have a person such as you as their representative. The other flight sim people could learn a lesson from you on how to run a support site.

Hi Steve, after you download the patch, unzip it and you'll find an "Aerofly" folder in it. Just drag and drop this folder into the main AFPD directory.
