Default d&l designs edge 540 60 in wspan

I would appreciate any information on the d and l designs edge 540 with a 60 in wing span. I am looking for a winter kit to build and would like to enter some imac contests at the rookie level THaks rickey

I would suggest trying something in the 1/4 scale range. It isn't much more money and the ease of flying and stablity will help you a great deal in IMAC. You can pic up small variances much quicker due to the longer span. A 5 degree off on a 60 size is an inch of wingtip motion vs. 2 inches on a 80" bird. If you can see an inch then you can correct at 2 degrees off rather than 5. That is why people say bigger is easier.

D&L Designs also offer a 80" WS Edge.I have the plans and looks to be a easy builder.Doug offers a laser cut semi kit.

If you are looking for a D&L 60 in. edge, I have one that I framed up one wing panel and quit and decided to go with a larger plane, I would let it go for 100.00 shipped.
