2005 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout
Hello,
The Tucson Aerobatic Shootout will be held Oct 5 - 9, 2005 at Tucson International Modelplex Park (TIMPA) in Tucson, Arizona. For 2005, we have instituted a few changes to increase the quality and enjoyment of the contest for both the pilots and the spectators.
We will be flying a separate Invitational class featuring 20 of the top pilots from the USA and 6 other countries.
Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, and Unlimited IMAC classes will also fly. These pilots will be selected from our online registration system by a nation wide, 10 person selection committee. Entries will be limited. Our goal is to have the most competitive pilots in each class.
Once again, we will be holding the Four-Minute Freestyle flights on Saturday and Sunday.
Thanks to the great efforts of our sponsors, the cash and prize value total is expected to be over $80,000.00!
Please visit the 2005 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout website for complete information

RE: 2005 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout
Gentleman,
Before you all go rushing over to the Shootout website and sign up... Please take a few moments to read the entry requirements for this years Shootout. Getting signed up online first will have no bearing on your entry in the field of the Shootout.
From the Entry Info page:
Pilot Roster Selection Process
The pilot roster for the Sportsman thru Unlimited class will be chosen by a Selection Panel. All pilots will be required to submit a resume for the Selection Panel to review. How quickly you send in your resume, entry fee and fill out the Intent to Register web form will have no bearing on your acceptance into the field.
Items to be considered by the panel include:
Participation and placement in previous Shootouts.
Previous participation and placement at other contests.
Service as CD or Judge at previous contests, etc.
Include all information you think will be relevant to the panel, even for lower
classes that you no longer fly.
In the resume, outline your judging experiance. Please include any attendance at Scale Aerobatics Judging Schools. Include your level of ability in reading Aresti. See Pilot Volunteer section above.
Also, in your resume, include complete contact info; name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
Before submitting your online Intent to Register form, e-mail your resume to the following e-mail address:
[email protected]
Deadline for submitting resumes and filling out the Intent to Register web form will be, Saturday, July 9th, Midnight, Mountain Standard Time.
