Default H9 cap trim issue

Hi,
I just flew my H9 cap w/ a saito 1.8. Flies GREAT! very impressed.
The only weird thing it does in when I slow down for a landing it flares. I would think this is a thrust line issue but during normal flight the trim doesnt seem to change. Is this a cap thing? with such a high thrust line or should I add in up thrust? The cg is spot on requiring slight up elev when inv. Thanks in advance.

sounds like its tail heavy to me .I have the same plane engine combo . I had to add weight to the nose and took elevator travel down to the bare minimum. great flyer though!!!

Default Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I agree that it sounds like a tail heavy situation, but in flight, if anything, I would want to move the cg back. On my GP .40 size cap they had a couple degrees UP thrust on the motor. I may try changing motor incidence a bit to see what that does. Thanks again.

Just to eliminate this, have you checked the stab incidence to the wing? I put an ARF together that I had to fix by 2 degrees in the stab, the wing and engine were at zero. Just my 02.

Default Now that you mention it

I guess with putting arfs together Ive gotten pretty lazy about checking trivial details like incidence Ill look at that tonight.
Now why didn't I think of that?
