sorry if this is in the wrong area, but i was wondering what servos you guys like and where you order them on the internet

For IMAC aircraft, I like 8411s and will be trying the new 8611s soon. I get my servos from www.rcsuperstore.com because they have quantity discount on servo purchases.

Your best servo depends on what kind of flying you do. Give us some info.........like sport or competition, airplane size, and 3D or not.

8611's are wonderful, but they may be 10 times the cost of what you need if you fly 1/8 scale Cubs!

well i like 3D. I was thinking of getting an Extreme Flight 68" Yak 54. it calls for 90+ oz. torque. I was wondering about the hitec 5625. or 5645. the specs look good. do you guy think tthse will do well in the yak and would th 59xx's be a lot better? they are quite a bit more money.money is an issue for me. I dont think I'll be competing with the plane but i don't want to be woried about any failures either. whada ya think?

I agree with ptgarcia: Hitec coreless BB servos are awesome and you can't beat the price compared to Futaba/JR...

but are the 5625's ok or are the 5925's thaat much better are the 5625's not coreless. and what difference does that make. sorry if these are stupid questions

if you look on servocity.com they have a very detailed disc of each servo and good prices
5625 is not coreless, its a 3pole
3pole is ok, basic servo motor
5pole is better, higher resolution, smoother power output..
coreless is the best, typicaly faster and higher torque, given the same gears and Volts :D

what about karbonite gears versus metal?

are the karbonite gears close to as strong?

ive read/heard that theyy risist slop over time better than metal.
