Shootout First Day
 

Wow, was that some crazy wind!! The day started pretty windy but within a couple of hours the wind was gusting over 40 mph crosswind. The CD called cancelled the afternoon round to save the airplanes. The first picture shows Ralph Lang disassembling his plane after the announcement that the afternoon round was cancelled. Note the wind sock! The second picture shows Dave Jones pushing Andrew Jesky's Carden Extra to the trailer. The only thing flying this afternoon was the dust.

Dave is a good friend of mine. I watched him call for Andrew and Jason this year and he is tireless in the support he provides anyone he is working with.
