Elevator Mixing on IMAC Plane

I have dual elevator servos (independent) on my YAK. They are on the elevator and aux3 channels. I have them mixed (1:-1) on my JR8103 radio. Everything functions fine, but the elevator trim tab only effects the elevator channel. Does anyone have any advice? This is my first airplane with independent elevator controls.

Thank you!
Brian

You need to set up the mix on P-Mix #5 or #6 to have the aux3 trim follow the elev trim

Danny - JR support guy on the JR support forum here on
RCU - has written a paper on using two channels for
elevators on the 8103. You can get it off of the Horizon
web site.

actually, if you just read the manual it is right there - "Include Mix" spells it out pretty clearly.

:DThanks for all the help, guys!

I haven't opened the manual yet, and I have had the radio 4 years. Everything is so intuitive, I guess it just didn't dawn on me to "read the directions".

Thanks again!!

3 hours of struggling is always better than 3 minutes of reading! :)

Tried the manual and its not intuitive at all. The issue
arises with getting the trim to work properly (single for
both servos) and killiing any related switches so
you don't get unwanted action at the second
servo. Again, I encourage you to get Danny's paper.

Its really very simple.

Plug one elev into elev ch. and the other into Aux 3.
Got to P-Mix #5. Activate a mix that slaves Aux 3 to elev.
Set the % to 100% in each direction.

Go to ATV and set Aux 3 to 0% for each direction of the Aux 3 knob.

Done.

Trim will work now on both elev halves
Aux 3 knob will have no effect on the elev half that is on that channel.

Thanks, Wayne!

It works wonderfully!

I will check out that guy's paper anyway, sounds interesting.

Thanks you again for all your help!
